Letter from Artistic Director
Fred Kronacher

Dear Friends and Music Lovers,
I am pleased to announce the seventeenth season of Musical Experiences. After much reflection, I have decided to again present two concert programs this year.
In October, my piano recital will feature the music of “The Composer Pianists,” Mozart, Bartok, Debussy and Chopin, as well as a recent composition of my own. I have found myself drawn more and more to composing and am currently putting together a CD of original pieces for piano.
In May, I will present a recital featuring two great sonatas – the Schubert a minor, composed in 1823, and Beethoven’s magnificent “Waldstein Sonata.”
As I did last year, with great satisfaction, I will again play and talk regularly to primary school students here in Seattle.
And finally, I am particularly excited about my upcoming music history class, “1890 to 1915,” because of the fascinating diversity of styles and composers which emerged during this pivotal period in history.
It is a privilege to pursue my passion of combining live performance with music education and, as always, it remains my goal to open the ear, inspire the mind and touch the heart.
    Sincerely,
    Fred Kronacher
    Artistic Director
