Letter from Artistic Director
Fred Kronacher

Dear Friends and Music Lovers,
I am pleased to announce the 18th season of Musical Experiences. Our upcoming season features three concert programs, opening with a piano recital at Bellevue’s Sherman Clay, honoring the 200th anniversary of the death of Haydn. This recital also includes pieces by two composers who greatly benefitted from studying Haydn’s music, Mozart and Beethoven.
In January, in honor of the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth, I will present an all Chopin program. And in May, we honor the 200th anniversary of Schumann’s birth with an all
Schumann program. I am excited to be joined by esteemed violinist Daniel Rouslin, former violinist of the Delos String Quartet and currently Professor of Violin at Willamette University, along with the wonderful mezzo soprano, Catherine Treadgold, for our musical exploration of Schumann’s evocative and romantic art.
Once again, Musical Experiences is happy to present two of our programs in collaboration with Steinway & Sons and Sherman Clay.
As in the past two years, I will continue to visit local public schools to talk to and play for young children. It is amazing how open and enthusiastic second and third graders are in responding to music!
It continues to be a real honor to pursue my love of combining live performance with musical education and, as always, it remains my goal to open the ear, inspire the mind and touch the heart.

    Sincerely,
    Fred Kronacher
    Artistic Director
