Music History Course

Mendelssohn & Schumann
Romanticism Takes Flight

Given by Fred Kronacher

This series of classes will focus on two of the greatest figures at the dawn of Romanticism – Mendelssohn, considered the perfect classical/romantic master, and his friend Schumann, the mercurial arch romantic. Each of the four Sunday evening classes will explore their great works and compare and contrast their musical styles, their life experiences and their temperaments. Classes run approximately an hour and a half and meet once a month at 6:45 p.m. on the following dates:

Sunday, October 23
Sunday, November 20
Sunday, December 18
Sunday, January 15

The fee for the course is $60.
